I bought these Hostess Tropical Blast Twinkies some time ago but it wasn’t until now that I finally got around to reviewing them.
My expectations were pretty low considering I don’t eat Twinkies regularly and I already felt from seeing the blue filling that this would taste sugar and blue food dye.

Taste
I wasn’t expecting anything impressive from these Twinkies but was happy they were tasty. Like many tropical flavored food, this had more of a citrus flavor than anything else.
When I think about “tropical” flavors, I think of mixed fruits that are common in hot climates like pineapple, coconut, mango, lemons, limes, papaya, melon or passion fruit.
