Taste
When I bought these, I didn’t read what they were. It’s a common reoccurrence!
Turns out these are mini mochi cake balls covered in chocolate. If you’ve never had mochi donuts or mochi cake, it’s a denser and chewier pastry; ultimately, it’s the chewiness of mochi added to cake batter.
This specific product has the texture of a dense brownie. Although the center is butter cake, the chocolate covering has a stronger taste, so it basically tastes like a mild milk chocolate brownie. What excites me about this is how the light crunch from the chocolate exterior, the smoothness of the chocolate and the chewiness of the mochi butter cake mix together. It’s a perfect blend to me in terms of texture differences.

I loved these. The chewiness really makes these enjoyable to eat especially since they’re bite-sized. I loved biting it in half and popping them into my mouth. A bucket of these for movie night would be great!
