We start the year with an extra energy kick: the Mocha Chocolate Kit Kat Duos! \ (◕ヮ◕) /
Really, it’s chocolate mocha, but I suppose for the “duo” look, it’s Mocha + Chocolate.
If you’re part of the Kit Kat Flavor Club or follow Kit Kat closely, you know this flavor has been promoted since last year! Their page advertised the new flavor months in advanced and had it’s club members taste test the flavor.

The regular 4 piece bar cost me 88 US CENTS but the King Size was $1.48USD. So if you’re a Kit Kat fan or really like the flavor, the King Size is cheaper.
Taste
I was curious about how they were going to make it taste like chocolate mocha.
The Mocha Chocolate Kit Kat has coffee grounds in the chocolate. On the first bite, there’s a strong coffee flavor similar to expresso and then a mild creamy flavor follows. I can’t remember the last time I had a chocolate mocha but I felt this had a stronger coffee flavor than a chocolate flavor. Mocha (or Caffe Mocha) is a combination coffee, milk & chocolate, this means that a mocha + chocolate is really a coffee + milk + chocolate + chocolate, so I was definitely hoping for a strong chocolate flavor with only hints of coffee.

Would I buy this again? Yes.
The Mocha Chocolate Kit Kat Duos has quite an enjoyable flavor. I’d say is a good stand alone against the original milk chocolate bar. I’m looking forward to their next new flavor. Seeing how well this was pulled off, maybe Hershey’s should try a similar but fun flavor like Tiramisu Duos!
