I found the new Strawberry Dark Chocolate Kit Kat Duos while I waited on the check out line in Walgreens yesterday.
While the flavor probably isn’t interesting, I was excited to see a new Kit Kat flavor floating around in the U,S.

Taste
I wasn’t impressed. Unlike what the product details described, I didn’t experience the duo of my dreams.
First, let me say when I first opened the bar, I could smell the strawberry and dark chocolate. It made me feel excited because the strawberry smelled like strawberry milk and together with the dark chocolate, the bar smelled like chocolate dipped strawberries. However upon tasting it, the dark chocolate overpowered the majority of the Kit Kat. It tasted more like a hint of some “berry” flavor with dark chocolate. Honestly, it was better than what I initially expected it was going to taste like. I was worried it was going to taste like cough medicine.
The Kit Kat wasn’t bad; I enjoyed the candy, after all I love dark chocolate, but I wished there was something more to the flavor.

Would I buy Strawberry Dark Chocolate Kit Kat Duos again?
Answer: No.
Worth Trying?: At least once.
It was a nice treat but I wouldn’t buy it again. I was satisfied trying it at least once. I just wanted a little more than what I got from this flavor. Maybe they needed to do more strawberry and less dark chocolate or maybe they should’ve used a stronger flavor like cherry and done a “cordial cherry” flavor instead like the Hershey’s Kisses.
It’s disappointing that U,S. Kit Kat flavors are just not even close to the variety that are Japanese Kit Kat flavors. I honestly don’t know why companies keep picking “safe” flavors for their products but I think it’s time they step it up.
