When I first bought these Orion Turtle Chips Choco Churros (꼬북칩) I really hoped they would taste as good as they looked.
It’s not the first time I ate sweet chips from South Korea but when it comes to chocolate covered chips, many are salted potatoes.

About Orion Trutle Chips (꼬북칩)
It maximizes crispiness through 4 thin chips that overlap each other. It is the first 4 layers snack in the Korean market. The best characteristic is the texture because it makes feeling of eating several chip for only one bite. It is also fun snack which imitate turtle shell.
There are 3 flavors of Kkobuk Chip. The first is deep and savory ‘Corn soup’, the 2nd is popular Korean classic dessert ‘Sweet Injeolmi’ and the 3th is rich chocolate added ‘chocolate churros’.

Taste
I LOVED THESE! These taste like chocolate covered cereal. It reminds me of Post’s Cocoa Pebbles. The layers also look like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. If you love the sound of a good crunch, these chips deliver a very satisfying sound.
The chips are sweet but not too sweet. Definitely decadent; the chips are very well covered in chocolate. It’s not just a layer over the chips, the chocolate sipped in between the layers as well. The “churro” flavor was mild but I wasn’t surprised. When I was in South Korea, all the churros I saw were more chocolate than churro; chocolate dipped churros and Oreo churros were popular.
The bag was plenty full compared to American chip bags. Most chips were whole and not broken to bits.

I definitely recommend these to anyone. If you love chocolate, cereal or simply want something mildly sweet to munch on, these are perfect. Honestly, dare I say, they’re the new caramel popcorn but better.
